Sydney jazz pianist and composer Dave Halls has been performing in Sydney for over twenty years in venues such as the Basement, Soup Plus, Bar Me and all the major hotels and function centres.Dave was mentored by the late Sydney jazz icon Serge Ermoll.

Dave launched his debut jazz album “Walking Home” in 2001 before a packed crowd at Sydney’s famous Soup Plus. His latest album is Burning Time featuring an eclectic mix of original compositions by Dave.

``Sitting in`` at The Basement with Steve Morrison and Jeff Duff

Dave played on one of the tracks for Steve Morrison’s CD Steve Morrison Live at the Basement.

In this live video capture from the CD’s launch, Dave sits in with Steve and Jeff Duff to perform Stormy Monday as they did for the original recording.

Also features Tim Rollinson (guitar), Mike Hammond (trumpet), Con Campbell (sax) and Steve Ley (drums).

At the ``Burning Time`` album launch

Out of the archives comes this video, which features the song Hutchsky. It features Rob Sullivan on guitar and Tarquin Halls-Corbett on flute and was performed at The Basement on the night of the CD launch for Burning Time.
