Geraldine Halls - pen name Charlotte Jay (late)

Geraldine won the inaugural Mystery Writers of America Award for her book, Beat not the Bones. The runner up was Raymond Chandler. She has a lengthy list of both crime novels in the 50s and what she described her "quality novels" written in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Jonathan Halls

Jonathan (Dave's twin brother) runs a global communications company with bases in London and Washington. Amongst other things, his company teaches Web communication specialising in writing, podcasting and vodcasting. And he enjoys working with leaders and executives to improve their communication skills. His company services the UK, US and Asia. Naomi Halls

Naomi is a specialist in classical flute. She writes, teaches, adjudicates eisteddfods and is a senior examiner for the AMEB. Based in the Blue Mountains, she has recorded on a number of CDs, including her self titled CD with harpist Jane Hockley.

Tarquin Halls

Tarquin, son of Naomi, is a classically trained flute player and electric bass player. He is not a stranger to large audiences and has played in a number of bands including Jumbledat and Thymes Cross. He recently left successful hip hop band Jumbledat to focus on a new album with Thymes Cross. Tarquin collaborated with Naomi and Dave to fuse jazz. classical and fusion for a special concert at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre called the Halls Connection - from Bach and Beethoven to Bossa Nova.

Julian Halls

Julian who now lives in Tasmania, Australia is an artist and novelist. He has written a number of books and plays which include Port Arthur. He has an interest in history. Julian is brother to Dave's father, Marcus.

Julian started as a television writer and wrote television dramas and soap operas which included the ABC's Certain Women in the early 70s and numerous episodes of The Young Doctors which were exported throughout the world. He has also written radio drama.
